So, I am already a very bad blogger. First, Mike arrived home on June 21, and we are so very excited to have him home!!!
Lily and I were able to meet him at the hangar where we were able to watch him fly his plane into the airport and taxi in to us. We got to go right out to the plane as they got out and give him the biggest hugs ever.
Unfortunately, Lily didn't quite recognize Mike yet, and spent a good part of the next 2 hours screaming her head off at him. Granted, she was probably hungry too.
So, after that momentous occasion, we have just been enjoying Mike's leave and spending some long needed and missed time together as a family, finally. We were able to spe
nd the 4th of July with Uncle Joe, Aunt Karen, Nate and Jake. We had a lot of fun swimming in the pool and eating lots of great food...as always. That Sunday, Mike was able to bless Lily, finally. It was sweet and simple, but so powerful. She is a lucky little girl to have such an amazing Dad.
